Hi, I'm Heather
I am a Registered Social Worker and the Owner and Clinical Director of Bloom Psychotherapy, a virtual perinatal and maternal mental health clinic that sees clients across Canada. I am a reproductive and perinatal mental health specialist who has extensive experience supporting those navigating infertility, pregnancy and infant loss, birth trauma, postpartum anxiety and depression, overwhelm and parenting challenges.
It was my experiences with difficulty conceiving, intense postpartum anxiety and medical trauma that led me to specialize in supporting individuals in their adjustment to parenthood. I am a mom of three who is passionate about helping individuals and couples thrive as they navigate the journey of fertility and parenthood, and in supporting them in feeling grounded, confident, and connected.
You have likely heard over and over, "take care of yourself". Feeling the impact of this journey you know cognitively the importance of that, but HOW to actually do that can sometimes feel elusive in the midst of all that you are juggling. That's why I've put together what I've found to be an essential resource for my clients. It is designed to provide guidance on the "HOW to" of mental health support
