Registered Social Worker/Psychotherapist


Nasreen Subdar is a Registered Social Worker with 30 years of clinical experience. She graduated from the University of Toronto with a Masters in Social Work and has acquired extensive training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, Psychodynamics, Attachment-Based and Experiential Psychotherapy.  She provides both individual and couples’ therapy and has a special interest in the areas of prenatal and postpartum care, infertility, pregnancy loss and postpartum depression and anxiety, due to both her lived experiences with various losses and the secondary effects of PTSD.

Nasreen had also developed special expertise in offering therapy to victims of violence, discrimination, bullying, compassion fatigue and severe chronic illnesses.

Clients respond well to her holistic and strength-based, person-centred approach and to her warm, empathetic and respectful style. Nasreen feels privileged that her clients have allowed her to bear witness to and to assist them in managing their crises and silent suffering.

Nasreen’s deep respect for diversity and her culturally sensitive practice, further lend to more ethical and skillful collaborative work with clients. She truly believes that with every challenge and hardship, comes ease and opportunity.
