Understanding and Identifying Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders
Essential Insights for Practitioners and Clinicians

Who is this for?
This FREE masterclass is designed for healthcare practitioners, birth workers, and clinicians who work with expectant and new parents or have an interest in perinatal mental health.
Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders (PMADs) encompass a wide range of mental health conditions that can affect individuals during pregnancy and up to one year postpartum. These disorders, which go beyond the commonly known "baby blues", can have a profound impact on the well-being of both parents and the child is left undiagnosed and untreated.
During this masterclass, Heather Ratych, Founder and Clinical Director of Bloom Psychotherapy, will delve into the essential insights necessary for healthcare practitioners and clinicians to identify and support individuals experiencing PMADs. From understanding the risk factors and underlying causes to recognizing the signs and symptoms, this masterclass aims to equip participants with the knowledge and tools to make a positive difference in the lives of their clients/patients.
In this masterclass, you will learn:
How to differentiate between the baby blues and PMADs
The spectrum of PMADs and their prevalence
Risk factors and protective factors that contribute to the development or prevention of PMADs
How to recognize the signs and symptoms including the subtle and not-so-subtle indicators of PMADs in expectant and new parents
The evidence-based treatment options and interventions, so that you know what support is available to your patients/clients
